We are thinking of putting together the Ansca Developers Conference in May of this year depending on how much interest there is.
How many of you would join us in the San Francisco, Bay Area for a four day event all about Corona SDK, Mobile Marketing, Fragmentation, 3rd Party Developers, All about Apps, Games, Internet Network, Comics, Children's Books, etc. new features, etc.
If the cost is right, how many of you would like to attend. Say around $500 for the conference.
Carlos
I'd be interested, but as with Graham, I'm in the UK... so distance would be a bit of an issue!
Sounds very cool -- as long as there's not an extra long winter I think I'd be there (I don't fly, so I'd be driving from Alaska).
A late summer date would be better, though, because then ocean stuff (sailing, etc.) would be more fun. And if I'm going to spend a week driving to SF, I'm going to do some playing once I get to CA. :)
Jay
price sounds good now if I can convince my wife to take vacation to sf instead of the smokeys
When y'all bring it to texas (dallas, austin or houston), I'll be there fo sho ;)
+1 for Texas
I'd love to make the trip!
If you ever consider bringing a conference to Chicago I'll try to get one of the colleges, where I'm an adjunct professor, to agree to be the "host".
You teach part-time at colleges around Chicago? Me too, where do you teach?
+2 for Texas
hi Jhocking
Harrington College of Design and Northwestern. I sent you an email.
I would absolutely be down for that! Where exactly would it be (State, City)?
At this point you can count me in from Kentucky.
Mark Strickland
Just noticed that you said San Fransisco.
I would say count me in if I can't afford travel and time off at that time! I suppose I could prepare starting now!
Sounds great! Count me in!
Would love to come but trip plus everything else from germany is to much atm.
Would probably be able to make it, as long as it wasn't in early May, which would conflict with FITC Toronto (May 2-4).
Darren
How about all of you taking a holiday and attending the CDC down under Oprah Style? I can talk to the University where I teach and have this organised plus have a few trips around the Great Barrier Reef, snorkling, diving, etc fun activites and March will be near the start of Ozzie Winter and the weather will be perfect...
cheers,
Jayant C Varma
I'd be interested... easy commute for me since I'm in the Bay Area.
I'm definitely interested. 4 days might be a bit long for me bit I could make 3.
+1 for Bay Area.
As long as I know the date soon enough, I would come from Canada. I'd just need to take my vacation weeks around this time and enough time to order my passport to get there, but yeah. :)
Can I please have a show of hands for all the Aussies that are on this forum and would like to attend the Australian Corona Developer Conference around April/May? If we have enough people (50-100) we can persuade Ansca to make a visit to OZ. Others are also welcome to put up their hands if they would like to visit Australia...
cheers,
Jayant C Varma
I'll throw my hat in for Oz or anywhere in Asia Pacific for that matter.
I am interested both for on in San Francisco and organizing one in Europe. I should be able to make it. Count me in.
I would definitely go to an East Coast conference, or Chicago. SFO area, maybe.
I would go if there's one in Shanghai or Suzhou :) (I'm German but live in China)
Sounds good, haven't been to San Francisco in a few years - but being in the UK the flight along makes it a very expensive conference. Perhaps a Corona UK event in the future? ;)
+1 for the UK :-)
+1 in the UK
+2 from Minnesota :)
+2 For Europe or +1 for the USA
SF Bay area!
Four days might be a bit ambitious. Google IO is only two days. It's also in May by the way, so schedule carefully. There's a lot going on that month.
Four days is a little long. I'm in LA, so I'd go for a weekend!
I'm close so 4 days is cool with me. I think 4 days might allow for sessions that go into depth as opposed to just introducing something. Maybe even do a session for newbe's where you develop a complete app. Also I don't really develope games I do more business type apps. So sessions that just don't target games would be nice.
This being said, I've never been to one of your conferences, so you may already be doing this.
Just say when and I will be there!
Hmmm.....a centrally located postion for a US conference is in St. Louis. Pay no attention that I am located in St. Louis. Just sayin. :)
Too bad I'm too far away, I'd obviously go if travel costs were cheaper from Brazil to US.
Seattle!
+1 - Bay Area/SF
+ 1 SF/Bay Area
+1 for texas as well!
Also would be awesome if there was student scholarships for university students!
+1 but I'm in Europe as well. Would like a DevConf EU next then. :-)
That sounds great, however being in the UK it's probably a bit far for me. Damn you Atlantic Ocean.
