Hi, I'v noticed that you just removed the ipad+iphone build on beta 8.
Is there any other way we can build app for both ipad+iphone in the future?
Thank you.
Hi, thank you.
Yes, I know we can define the scaling so that one code can target both iphone+ipad.
However, that's still two different apps. Saying you have to build app for iPhone and app for iPad.
Build for iPhone cannot be installed on iPad.
There are some apps on the App store, for example, Zinio, can be installed on both iPhone and iPad.
I am wondering if we can do this with Corona SDK.
Currently you cannot create one build that will work for both iPhone and iPad. We removed the item from build window because we need to do more work to make this happen and it won't be ready for the Corona 2.0 release. Having it in the build window and grayed out was causing confusion. We hope to offer this feature later.

Does the beta-7 combined iphone+ipad build work? My code handles both screen sizes and I'd like to upload just one binary.
None of the Corona SDK builds support creating a Universal Binary (supporting both iPhone and iPad with one binary). The iPhone+iPad option has always been grayed out on the build window.

I too would love to see this feature implemented as I don't think customers should have to pay more than once for the same app just to use it on different Apple devices.
This is something we are talking about for the next release. There was too much to do (and test) just getting Corona 2.0 out the door.

Totally understandable, Tom.
+1 looking forward to this when it's ready!
I think you now doing with a config file os iOS4 and you set the scaling.
I might be wrong mind but I remember reading somewhere in the release notes about it
