Corona needs more UI

So far I like Corona and it would be great to see some standard UI controls such as:
Tab bar
Toolbar
Checkbox
Slider based controls
Button bar
Switch
I'm sure there's more but those are the ones that I can think of right now. I am guessing as it is still in beta that the full set of UI controls have not been implemented?

Yes I know the focus for Corona is mainly games and visually interactive apps. But I would love to see more GUI related stuff so one could make more utility based apps for iOS and Android. As that would be super valuable to me. The ability to make an app like a RSS collator or some such.
[Edit] Or even some way of exposing the built-in GUI elements native to iOS and Android... assuming that isn't already possible?
