In-app purchases?

I can not find any documentation on in-app purchases. I have seen post that state that they were not in version 1.0 and have seen nothing mentioning them in the 1.1 information. If there is currently any way to preform in-app purchases please let me know. If not, this is a very important feature that needs to be added in future releases.
