This is most likely because the device is not included in the provision file. Did you add your device UUID to the provisioning profile?

The document "DeviceBuildGuide.pdf" in the documents section of this site or the documents folder of Corona has an explanation about UUID and provisioning profiles.

I have followed the DeviceBuildGuide instructions and I am still getting the message. I will clear everything in the portal and start new. One thing I noticed though is that there are no radio buttons for distribution or ad-hoc.

I found the problem. I accidentally created the profile provisions folder in the Macintosh HD Library and not in the User/Library. I have now successfully put a app on my iTouch. Sorry to have wasted your time but thank you for your help.
