Just in case for everyone interested to explore and use GPS and MAP together in your applications, the mapkit.framework support would be great.
Regards,
Flavio.
fpassa, is there a particular part of MapKit that you need the most?
Hi Evank,
Thanks for your response. Mapkit allows to use map navigation, annotations and geodecoding. All of them are particular needed to use GPS and MAP inside a CORONA application. I need map span (for zooming), region, annotation (to put pins) and geodecoding to get street address and city, after you have a lat/long coordinates.
If I can get those features, properties and functions, I can make my customer app entirely in Corona Lua.
Flavio.
Time is gone and this feature still not implemented in version 2.0, so I wish to know if Corona is considering to include it in final release of 2.0
Flavio
Yes. It will be included in the final 2.0 --
I'll make sure that MapKit makes it into the next beta drop.
Carlos
Carlos,
Do you confirm that MapKit and asynchronous http request will be part of Corona 2, as it was announcend here?
thanks,
Alex
hello all,
I'm wondering if this feature will be implemented, corona beta 2.0 is close to end and still no news about Mapkit Framework.
What i'm expecting (at least) :
- Showing a list of POI on a map
- Event listener on POI
Dear Ansca Team please, can you confirm us if this (needed) feature will be added to the final release of Corona 2.0 ?
Thanks a lot for your work !
Before I can jump into Corona, I need the capabilities of MapKit. From the posts above, it's unclear when MapKit will be in Corona. 2.0? Later? Unknown? TIA
Tap, Tap...this thing on? Can anyone at Ansca tell me about MapKit support? Thanks!
Hello Hello? Bueller Bueller....
:-)
Apologies for this thread going deaf but the staff is super busy with the release of Corona and Corona GE ... But that should not be an excuse...
I don't think MapKit will make it into the 2.0 drop. I am sure that it will be in a release shortly thereafter.
There were some challenges in getting it to work right and we rather hold off shipping something as involved as MapKit in a half right stage.
Carlos
Thanks for the heads up !
I can't wait for feature... This is one of the main function on a smartphone ( I mean using a map to match find a poi ) !!
Any News ? ;)
We have added the feature to our feature bucket for 1.2
:-)
