Hello!
According to my impressions, a simple "Hello World!" is neither adequate for an iPhone nor for the Corona SDK - thus, I spent a little time and wrote *my* version of "Hello World!" (and found several bugs in the SDK, but that's a different issue)
As the example contains code plus other assets, the example is not available from this forum but from my web site: just visit http://www.andreas-rozek.de/iPhone/Welcome_en.html for everyting you need.
Hopefully you will have some fun (as I had ;-) )
Kind regards,
Andreas Rozek
Carlos,
thanks for the plaudit!
By the way: do you have a larger version of the Corona icon? By sizing the 57x57 pixel version up, the image quality is heavily degraded. However, if I would have a larger version...(a simple URL would be sufficient) ;-)
Thanks in advance!
Andreas Rozek
Nice work, that's a big HelloWorld !
One thing that bothers me is the white text on dark background. It's readable, but black-on-white would be better. And it'd be less intimidating/geeky ;)

Hmmm,
I just found a problem: if I switch off my device while the final alert is shown, and then switch it on again, it is impossible to replay the presentation again - the alert just vanishes showing the final iPad page, but nothing else is happening...
[Edit]I just found out, that I am also unable to terminate the program using the alert's buttons - it seems as if either no events are sent or those events aren't properly caught
Does anybody have an idea why?
Thanks in advance for any hint!
Andreas Rozek
Tom,
you think white-on-black looks intimidating? Hmm, and I prefer it that way round, because otherwise the white background dazzles me...
Could we find a compromise? (No, not grey-on-gray, but probably gray-on-black or black-on-gray...)
Kind regards,
Andreas Rozek
Very cool demo, Andreas, thanks for sharing.
